What a Shop UPI Tally Counts, and What It Does Not

Add receipts on this device, watch the local month total, and keep the 1,00,000 line as a reference, not a status change.

Quick Answer

What is a shop UPI tally? It is your own monthly count of UPI receipts you type in.

You add an amount. The page shows this calendar month total, and how far that total sits from 1,00,000 rupees. Crossing or staying under that line here does not change your merchant status.

This is not your bank or NPCI category. Runs entirely on your device. Nothing is uploaded.

Open Shop UPI Tally

What does this month include?

Only receipts whose local date falls in the current calendar month.

The clock is the device clock. A receipt you add now is stamped now. A receipt from last month stays in the file and drops out of the total. The month name sits above the rupees so you can see which month is on screen.

Adding shop UPI receipts to a private monthly count is the job. The page does not pull a statement from a bank, because it cannot see one.

What happens when the calendar month changes?

The visible total rolls. The file does not forget.

On the first local day of the next month, the total is zero until you add a receipt in that month. Last month's receipts remain in the export. Importing the same file later puts them back in the file, and they still count only in their own month.

Therefore a new month is a new total, not a deleted notebook. For example, 400 rupees on 2 September and 250 rupees on 18 September sum to 650 for September. An August receipt of 10000 stays in the file and does not enter that 650.

Does the 1,00,000 line change merchant status?

No. The line is a reference on your own tally.

The PIB Delhi release from 15 Sep 2026 describes small merchants on P2PM as about 1 lakh a month of UPI QR, and says those stay on zero MDR. This page does not apply that status.

However, the number you typed is not what the bank sees. Real status depends on the bank. The page will not tell you to split receipts, and it will not offer a way to stay under a band.

Under the line, the page shows how many rupees remain until 1,00,000. On the line, it says so. Over the line, it shows how far over. None of those three lines change a category.

How do export and import work?

The browser keeps the file under the key toytools.shop-upi-tally.v1.

Export downloads JSON. Version is 1. Each receipt has an id, paise, and a timestamp. Import replaces the tally after you confirm. A file that is not that shape is rejected, and the current tally stays.

Clearing site data deletes it. The Clear tally button asks first, and it only clears this key on this device. Export before you clear the browser if you want a copy. There is no second copy on a server, because nothing is uploaded.

Shop UPI Tally versus the MDR estimator

Shop UPI Tally versus the MDR estimator is a memory question versus a rate question.

The estimator prices one amount from the PIB note and forgets it when you close the tab. Unlike that, this tally keeps a month on the device. The difference between them is storage. The estimator does not read your receipts, and this tally does not print an MDR.
